how exciting! i just got a new toy, a PalmOne Treo 650. it’s a CDMA dual-band digital phone, a PDA running Palm OS 5.4 with 23M & a Intel PXA270 proc @ 321MHz, has a 320×320 TFT screen displaying 16bit color, accepts SD/SDIO/MMC cards, plays MP3′s, has a VGA camera with 2X zoom that can also capture video, has a full QWERTY keyboard & num pad, has speakerphone functionality, wireless email, wireless web, text & picture messaging, gpsOne support, 5 hr TT/2 weeks SB, stereo out, and infrared & bluetooth connectivity, all in a 4.4 x 2.3 x 0.9 in / 6.3 oz package!
now i just need to sync up all my old info from my handspring, which by the way, was running what I call the “beta” version of the treo (beta because of firmware issues that weren’t resolved after RTS, because of dropped support). it was a Visor with the Sprint Digital DataLink Module. i also need to go get a 1G SD card & a bluetooth headset.
one of my next projects is setup the treo to connect to my home VPN and use PalmVNC, which is open SRC for those who care about that

heheh crazy and geeky
Nice toy btw
Very cool. I’ve been interested in getting one, mainly to have once less thing to carry instead of a phone and PDA. How is the image quality from the camera, my Zire72 is pretty bad.
i will soon have some weather and entomologic pics to share with you. it is so much better than carrying a PDA, phone, camera, and mp3 player around!
