The problem turned out to be a bug in the Treo 650 "messaging" application. It acquires all "tran" databases as it's own, even though this is out of spec. And I had Ultrasoft Money on there, which uses a tran database. So each reboot it made a bad call and would reset. The problem was fixed in the new money program...

I had the same problems with that app on my Zire72. After a clean wipe it would work again. But that was a pain in the ass. So I finally just bought SnapperMail, which is great and haven't looked back.

"TREO Support"
S: CrazyGirl can't seem to get her Treo working, suspect id10t to fault.
T: Prove that she is a loon and that the message is supposed to come up everytime the Treo starts up. It was designed this way.
A: We sent her to the store to get some clean wipes. Thought if we clean off the Treo it would resolve the issue, if anything, give us some time to ourselves!
R: She didn't buy the idea of using the wipes. She insulted us so we escalated her to the IRATE line. The "supervisor" got tired of hearing her wine and decided that we should just make her go away. We thought about just hanging up or putting her on hold until she hung up herself, but opted to just replace the Treo. This will work for a few months, until it breaks down as well!
