my new speedbag is now installed. what fun. it is versatile, i can use it for exercise or, since the bag is about the size of a human head, i can imagine an unkind person’s head on it, and whack the crap out of it.

Tonight while my Mother and Markita were looking at curtain fabric, my Dad, Hunter and I were out walking around the store. Me and Hunter wandered over by the light of another store and heard the distinct sound of bats… many bats. I told him to look up at the sign. It was full of bats and after getting closer to their home, they came out one after another after another. Not 5 feet from our heads. One came darting out right at his face and he just loved it. We drove as many out of the nest as we could, and then backed off to watch them return. So we had a great bat experience tonight.
We were waiting at the drive-thru of a starbucks yesterday, trying to make up everyone’s minds on what to order. The guy comes on the intercom and asks “Can I take your order?” – and Hunter just yells out of nowhere – “Pumpkin!”
I have been doing some activities on a ROPES course lately. So far have done the low ropes, the high ropes and the rockwall. I had a great time on each one, and learned a little about myself on each.
I don’t think I have ever seen a Red Flag Warning in any area I have lived in (Pretty much middle of Texas, north to south). But the wind is really howling this evening.
When the winds first turned around 1:00, they were 32 mph, gusting to 44 mph. Now they have settled down to 25 mph, and gusting to 38 mph. (just in case you noticed the “low humidity” part of the warning, here’s more info: dewpoint at about 1:00 = 66, dewpoint now = 28).

Yeah, I know alot of you are annoyed by the tag cloud… but I just love the chaoticness of it.
The cloud is so funky in IE, I just have to say to my friends, make the change…
We went to the 75 annual Randolph AFB Air Show today. It was nice and hot and we had a lot to carry (it seemed like), so not many pictures this year. But is was still very cool.
Hunter liked it, but still hid when the F-15 did his vert climbs and dimistrated the use of compression suites and why I would pass out so easily with just half those g’s (or way – way less) than that cornering.
It kinda aged me to see the day when I could sit at an airshow and take a picture of an F-117A and X47B, just out in the open.
And then we had a fly-by by a B2 – Can you say Air Superiority!!!
Anyway, the pics are here.
Let me “back track” a little. We went to “Day out with Thomas” on 10/16/05, for the 60th Anniversery Event. It was the 2005 Celebration Tour and he went from North Carolina to California.
Hunter had a great time. He loves Choo-choo’s. I have just uploaded some new pictures from the event. The tour in Austin went from down town to out to the busy shipping lines and then back, about a 20 min. trip.
Here are the pics.
We have just tried the Cascade 2in1 ActionPacs for the dishwasher. Don’t they look like they would be really cool to chew on, or at least play catch with? Don’t know what my fascination is with them, but let me know if you have the same thoughts
