Happy Holidays

big spam karma

i had a spam harvested this morning with -3388.26 karma!
extremely large compared to my regular harvest, -10, -5, etc.

cokes

a month or so ago, I spent about two weeks drinking only milk, juice, and water. ever since, i can’t drink any kind of cokes (coke, dr pepper, sprite, etc.). just taste yucky. now only cool-aid, juice, milk, tea, and lots of water. guess that’s good for me, but is kinda strange.

Geminds

I haven’t had the time to go out and wait/watch for the Geminds this year. But, as luck would have it, I was making a middle-of-the-night run for medicine for the family last night and got to witness some great ones, all from the comfort of my warm car (something that has never happened before, usually it is a folding chair with blanket and cup of hot chocolate).

old train cars

we went to the North Pole Express Event at the Old Mill Station this evening. we got to explore two Pullman sleeping cars, and an open meeting room car, which contained hot chocolate, cookies, the conductor reading The Polar Express and – Santa Claus!

ice

the ice event reminded me of back home (up in north Texas). it was funny that i had just been talking about the possibility of a precipitation event with Robert Blaha last weekend at the NWS.
this was a great time to light up the new fireplace and burn up all the mesquite wood my mom & dad brought. so it looks like we will have to make a wood-run. i just hate the idea of buying it, when you have a pasture full of it back home and good chain saw. I can remember hauling wood, or was it playing in the snow? probably both, and then coming in to back up to a nice fire. now we’re lucky if it gets cold enough to take your flip-flops off

whole food

went to the recently remodeled Whole Foods store. I thought the old version was pretty cool, but the new one is huge! 80,000 square feet of healthy food, little restraunts, and bistros. But the coolest part, is the esclators!! You can push your cart down the esclator! It just locks in place and travels down with you. (magnets, I suppose).
