Instead of Dallas, they sent dad to Plano for his heart electrical tests.
Believe it or not, the ambulance broke down (again). So he got transported in the helicopter. He enjoyed it and said it rode much smoother than an ambulance, ha.
His electrical tests turned out fine. But they did implant a Reveal Plus 9526 – Insertable Loop Recorder System. It records the heart’s rhythm. Now he has to find out why his blood pressure dives.

Starting at 2 a.m. Mountain Time on Sunday, Christmas Eve, visitors to NORAD’s Web site will be able to track Santa’s progress around the world online. NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, has been offering the Santa-tracking updates for over 50 years. Four high-tech systems are used to do the job — radar, satellites, Santa Cams and jet fighter aircraft, the site says. Originally a phone-in service, with updates mainly heard via news shows and radio, the Web site has been tracking Santa online since 1998. Last year, the site got over 900 million hits. Other options are available, too. Google Earth uses its satellite imagery to capture activity on the runway at the North Pole, and Flight Explorer is watching Santa’s flight plans and practice flights. The sites might require that you download special software, so visit early and be sure you’re ready to go when the big night arrives. For more about NORAD’s tracking project, listen to AVweb’s Friday podcast — NORAD Project Officer Major Stacia Reddish explains how the defense group got into the Santa-tracking business and how it performs this unique mission.Copyright Aviation Publishing Group. spending another christmas in the hospital with dad. will be the third time we’ve done it through the past few years. we’re going to take the little tree up there and all the presents, so he feels at home. he was really upset that he didn’t get to spend it at home with all of us, because he was really in the holiday spirit this year. but it will be ok.
mom just called the ambulance for dad…
so now I’m on a lonely, very dark search for his hospital.
and I had just packed to leave denton and come visit them when mom called…
Dad has had alot of pain in his lower back and was supposed to have surgery on it again, but they didn’t want to do it, because of his heart problems. So they implanted a Spinal Cord Stimulator back on November 11th. It is kinda cool (charging through the skin n’ stuff), but don’t really feel like writing much about it. Anyway, now he has had stomach problems ever since he got home (maybe his new meds?), but has been in and out of the hospital… and it back in tonight. ugh.
