i just found something interesting in IE (i’m not currently on my machine that has firefox). it is the “Quick Tabs” option under “View”. it shows a nice little page that has all of your tabs thumbnailed. i just thought it was cute and wanted to share

well, i finally started watching NUMB3RS. I know, it’s right up my alley, and everyone said that they couldn’t believe I wasn’t watching it. I don’t watch much TV, just a few shows, so I didn’t want to get “hooked” on something else. But I guess I am now…
37° with wind right out of the north, at 15 miles an hour, gusting to 28! (at my parents house)
and it starts… son winning things before you do..
hunter “won the game” on Penguins. i need to catch up now.
he loves that game. he’s also real good at dinerdash, tornado jockey, land before time, zuma, chuzzle, bejeweled 2, spiderman cartoon maker, thomas the train trouble on the tracks, chicken hunter, and battlefield2. and he likes to play mr. do on my old gameboy.
oh, and “offline” we have been playing dominoes (the one where all ends have to match up to a multiple of 5 to score), and he wants to play all the time. his grandad’s and great grandad would have been so proud. he’s good at triominoes too, he completes the poloygon more than i do. and others he likes are nemo’s math game, thomas the train number game, wiggles board game, go fish, jenga, dr. seuss dominoes, animal match dominoes, old maid, color by numbers, mazes, we are working on chess, and he likes puzzles, even helps me out on the 1000 piecer’s.
i took my mom home on monday and came back today. so i got to do a little deer hunting. first time i have ever hunted in my flip-flops, ha (lack of planning there). “you know you’re from Austin if you ‘xxx’ in your flip-flops”. although my dad did try to fight a fire with them on one time, HA. The fire was coming up the hill in front of the house, and the pressure pump was out, so as we say, he was out there fighting a fire in his flip-flops and a drip hose, ha.
i also dug through my grandparents old house to get some of my paintings out. (one of them i won state with in 4-H – whee). the house had brown recluses all over! much more than the last time i was over there. i found one behind each painting i picked up, and on the floor, and the wall, etc. so i exercised extermination-by-shoe, till i just gave up and moved on. the back porch was infested by frogs, which was much better. they were little tree frogs, very cute. although the first one that launched across the room scared the crap out of me, looked like a flying snake, ha.
then, to top off the spider fiesta, i found a hobo spider once i got home! so i crawled around and caught it to put in my specimen collection. scissor fangs and necrotic venom, not fun.
my mother has been visiting for the past 3 weeks.
she got to go trick-r-treating with Hunter, watch 3 of his soccer games, and go to his soccer party. and got to see him read his “5″ books 
we’ve went on a few excursions:
to the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center
to Wimberly – we got to watch an artist demonstrate candle carving. went to the glass works and watched them make a large vase, from start to finish, very cool.
to Gruene – ate at the Gristmill on the river, did some wine tasting of Texas wines, visited a few stores that had samples of jelly, salsa’s, and pickles. found a swingset by the river, and relaxed a bit.
to WurstFest – mm.. breadpudding & fried pickles, and beer. and Hunter doing the chicken dance
