Hunter is turning 5 tomorrow. We had his party Saturday and it was at a Fire Station. The kids had so much fun! The firefighters gave them a tour of the station and the trucks. They let them all get up in the brush truck and push the “woo-woo” buttons. They got to watch the tender truck drive back into the station with the lights and siren on. The firefighters put on their suits for them and showed them what they would look like if they came looking for them in a fire, and to not be afraid of them. Then the kids got to “find” one of them by pulling all the pieces of the fire suit off of him. And they got to try on the coat, hats, and masks. And they got to ask all sorts of questions about everything.
When everyone left, Hunter got his picture made with the firefighters. And then, they took him for a ride in one of the trucks! He loved that. It was the best birthday party ever, and will be hard to top.
